Face Dragons Is Changing – For the Better

Changes are coming to Face Dragons, and 2025 is going to be our best year yet! Take a quick look below at the updates coming and how Face Dragons will develop next year.

The Face Dragons Journey Has Been an Inspiration to Me

I started Face Dragons during lockdown. I was stuck in China—the borders were closed—and my company had made me redundant. To say it was a low point is an understatement. I felt utterly trapped in a lifestyle I had slowly built over decades but was starting to collapse.

Face Dragons was my way out.

But Things Have Changed!

Face Dragons has come a long way in the last three years. I’ve developed as a writer, and not just for producing content here, but I’ve also been syndicated by publishers and news outlets all over the world. We’ve gotten more eyeballs on the site than ever, with millions of impressions and thousands of views every month. Sitting in my office in China, I never imagined that Face Dragons would take off like this!

Now, we have even more ways for you to interact with us.

I’m Facing an Old Dragon

Despite aiming his videos at a younger audience, I enjoy Captain Sidbad’s ideas and the beautiful camera work that goes into his YouTube Channel. I was intrigued to hear that Nikhil—despite owning a successful YouTube channel—is looking to get back into a corporate job. One thing my age told me, however, was that it wasn’t entirely for the reasons he gave. I know this because I’ve recently jumped back into a corporate job, and to my surprise, I’m loving it.

This shift in career focus and lifestyle is a new Dragon for me—actually, it’s an old one. I think I’ve been too comfortable for too long. I don’t mind admitting that there are days I sit and write in my study with my pajamas on.

My sleepwear aside, this shift in lifestyle means that changes are coming to Face Dragons, and I think you’ll like them.

First is the content schedule. For now, I’m looking at one major piece of content each week, published on Sunday. Why? The first reason is simply time – I’m now working a full-time job managing projects for a multinational company, and my time is limited. Could I write more? Sure, but I have my priorities (my areas of focus) burnt into my psyche, and while I think it’s necessary to narrow your focus and make significant progress on one area of your life – you can’t do that forever, else you family, health, and the fun sides of your life begin to suffer. So I might be in the park doing tai chi on an active rest day instead of writing, and that’s OK – for now.

Less writing inevitably means better writing, too. If I’m only producing 50 articles in the next 12 months – you’d better believe that they will be in-depth, insightful, and indisposable pieces of content – so look out for excellent new content from Face Dragons!

Next are the types of content you’ll see from Face Dragons. Don’t worry—we’ll still have extraordinary productivity and personal development articles focused on building a you that can Face the Dragons coming your way. But expect to see some posts related to career progression, working in an organization, and other skills you need in corporate life.

You may have noticed that the menu has changed. That’s because the way I’m thinking of our content is evolving. I want you, the reader, to know what you’re getting from a piece of content before you start reading. So, I’ve labeled them accordingly

  • Get Productive
  • Get Growing
  • Get PKM
  • etc.

Take a look around the site and let me know what you think!
